Help Us Build the Dream

We are almost there!
The RCCD Foundation is over 90% of the way toward the $11 million cost of the new Riverside Aquatics Complex, but we still need your help.

Pools in Riverside are in short supply. And even though Riverside's home pools aren't large or deep enough for competitions, they still host thousands of young swimmers just starting out as aquatic athletes. These pools are crowded and don't meet the community's needs.

The new Riverside Aquatics Complex will host events now located at community pools and make almost 6,000 more hours available to all of Riverside's young people. In addition, RCC's Community Swim Program can expand. Every summer more than 2,200 young swimmers use RCC's pools. A new Riverside Aquatics Complex will mean more kids get a chance to swim.

Riverside and Riverside Community College produce champions but the RCC pools are 55 years old and too short and too shallow for today's competitions. Three, four, five times a week, our young athletes face a grueling commute after school to pools in Los Angeles, Fullerton and Mission Viejo to train and compete. They have no choice. Many collegiate and Olympic hopefuls must give up their dreams every year because their families cannot afford the time and expense of twelve to twenty hours on the road every week. Keep them home and open up aquatic sports to hundreds more kids every year.

Local government, the private sector, foundations, and individuals have given $10.5 million.  But we can't build the dream for Riverside aquatics without you.
